Jaipur: Passengers travelling in one of the fastest trains of the country, Delhi-Ajmer Shatabdi, had a narrow escape on Monday after it was reported that the train was running at a speed of 110 km/hour with a broken wheel.
The train ran for about eight kilometers after which the gateman Kaluram informed the Station Master of Bobas Station about the broken wheel. Kaluram informed the station master after he noticed some noises and smoke near the generator car van. The wheel was changed at the Asalpur-Jobner Station.
Around 300 passengers including foreign tourists were travelling in the train. CPRO Tarun Jain said the matter is being investigated.
