Shambhu Lal Regar who brutally murdered Mohammad Afrazul to contest LS polls

Lucknow: Shambhu Lal Regar had hacked a man to death and filmed the horrific incident, on December 2017. Now Shambhu, is lodged at the Jodhpur Central Jail as an undertrial, but it does not stop him from contesting in the upcoming elections.

The man who mercilessly killed Bengali migrant worker, Mohammad Afrazul and set his body on fire, claiming to save a girl from love jihad, will be contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh on a ticket from Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena.

The horrific incident occurred in Rajsamand area of Rajasthan. Rajasthan police arrested Shambu and booked him under nine sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Two more murder accused in the fray?

Reportedly, Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena has filed a parole application for Shambhu. Reports state that the party is also fielding Naresh Kumar Sehrawat, one of the accused in the stabbing of Junaid Khan (16) in Haryana in 2017, and Hari Om Sisodia, one of the accused in the murder of Mohammad Akhlaq in Uttar Pradesh in 2015.
