New Delhi: In a good move, the Supreme Court on Wednesday approved the Central government’s guidelines to protect people who help victims of road accidents from unnecessarily harassment.

The guidelines extend protection to people who help road accident victims and also for the Good Samaritans.

As per the guidelines, any person helping road accident victims will not have any criminal or civil liability nor have they to fear about harassment by police or any other authorities. The identity of such persons will be kept secret.
