Mumbai: Actress Sana Khan who had featured in Big Boss last season and has done TV Commercials with bollywood biges like Salman, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan has been charged with attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl for rejecting to marry her cousin police said.
The police have already arrested four persons –Sanas cousin Naved Khan (22) and his three friends Kshitij Dubey (22) and Vismit Ambre (23) and a 17-year-old boy minor and they are now in look out for the 25-year-old actress whos gone missing, said inspector at Turbhe police station.
According to police, the victim was studying in 9th standard had befriended Naved on social networking site Facebook in November 2012 which continued into frequent meetings.As months passed Naved proposed marry to her but the girl refused. However, Naved kept pursuing her and then she stopped meeting him and discontinued her FB account.On April 30th evening when the girl was returning to her home in Sanpad,Naved stopped her at Mora circle area. He was with three of his friends and Sana.
Naved and his friends tried to draged the girl into Sanas bmw car but she managed to free herself and ran towards her house. Sana Naved and his friends had already reached her house where they had a heated argument before leaving. “The girls mother subsequently approached the police on May 1 and lodged a complaint. The four boys were arrested on the same day while Sana is wanted in the case”.
Sana is currently playing lead role in Salman Khan starrer “Mental”and since she is absconding the shooting schedule has reportedly got disrupted.
Sana and the arrested accused were charged under IPC sections 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 366 (Kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage) 452 (House- trespass alter preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), and 511 (Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment).
