Jaipur: July 19, Forty-seven children made a miraculous escape after a fire broke out in an ICU of the JK Lon Hospital in Jaipur, this state government run hospital is the biggest hospital for children.
The incident occurred at late night on Monday, when smoke emerged from the AC duct line which encircled the children admitted in the hospital, seeing this, parents rushed to the spot and managed to get the children out with the help of the hospital staff.
Though some children were on oxygen and some had dips, the power supply was switched off in the ICU to prevent more damages, to let the smoke out, the staff with the help of other broke the windows of the hospital, as the power was switched off, the rescuers used mobile flash lights to take the children out of the hospital.
Medical education principal secretary T. Ravikanth inspected the hospital on Tuesday morning and ordered an investigation.
