New Delhi: Union Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily has assured that the victims of the gas tanker tragedy would get all assistance from the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.
Moily said that he had spoken to the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada and directed him to assess the loss of life and property.
The minister added that HPCL would provide assistance for the reconstruction of the houses damaged in the tanker blast. The company has been told to set up a Quick Response Centre at Gundya on the Mangalore-Bangalore highway, he said.
