Punjab: A devastating collision between a car and a truck in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, resulted in the death of four individuals on the spot, while two others sustained injuries. The incident occurred on the Jammu-Jalandhar National State Highway, where both vehicles collided, causing the car to catch fire, and the truck overturned.
Upon receiving the information, the police quickly responded to the scene with the assistance of passersby. The injured were promptly taken to Dasuha’s government hospital for initial treatment and were later transferred to Amritsar Medical College for further monitoring.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported the collision between the car and the truck, confirming four fatalities. The car, fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG), caught fire during the impact. One person, in critical condition, was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
Dr. Dasuha from the government hospital provided an update on the truck driver’s condition, stating, “The truck driver, admitted to the hospital, is in a bad condition. Keeping the seriousness of the situation in view, he was referred to the government hospital in Amritsar. We gave him first aid.”
A police officer present at the accident site revealed that the vehicles involved carried five young men. Tragically, four individuals lost their lives on the spot, while one of the five was admitted to the hospital. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and more details are awaited as the probe unfolds.
