New Delhi: The mysterious case of Pratyusha Banerjee’s alleged suicide has yet again a twist with Lawyer Neeraj Gupta who was defending Pratyusha Banerjee’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh quitting the case of the actress.

Rahul was booked at the Bangur Nagar police station under various sections of law for abetment of suicide, punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation.
Gupta said that Rahul was hiding facts from him and he was quitting the after listening to his conscience.
The deceased actress’ mother Soma Banerjee in her statement to the police said that Rahul used to beat her daughter daily. She had counseled them not to fight and to concentrate on their career.
Pratyusha Banerjee was found hanging from the ceiling of her residence in Goregaon on Friday, April 1.
Rahul, who continues to be in the hospital for alleged chest pain and hypertension, has now filed an anticipatory bail application in the Dindoshi Court of Mumbai.
