Bhopal: PM Modi was in Bhopal today for the inauguration of the Vishwa Hindi Sammelan (World Hindi Conference). He interacted with the BJP workers in Bhopal telling them that “Madhya Pradesh has always welcomed me, but I came to the capital for the first time”.
He expressed happiness about the turnout, saying “whether I am in Parliament, or campaigning, I won’t let the public down”. He said that each state has always learned from Madhya Pradesh.
Commenting on his party and government he said that the BJP is a workers’ party in its truest sense. “For the first time a government with a clear majority has been elected. We didn’t blame or criticize others, but we worked on our flaws. One must work to become truly responsible in the eyes of the public”, he said. Making a veiled attack against the Congress, he said “To those who have been rejected by the people, I appeal to them for the pride of democracy, to fend economic dangers, work with us. But they are not working with us, they did not let the Parliament work”. He continued, “We passed a law against black money, which is why the ‘hawalabaaz’ are troubled”.
He assured the people of India, that the government will not spare any efforts to fulfill your dreams. He assured the workers that despite a lack of headlines, work is being done on the ground.
