Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the celebratory burning of Ravan’s effigy on the auspicious occasion of ‘Vijaya Dashmi’ at Delhi’s Ram Leela Maidan in Dwaraka Sector 10. Serving as the chief guest at the 11th grand Ramleela of the Shri Ramleela Society, Modi actively participated in the Ravana Dahan ceremony.
Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister received a warm traditional welcome from the organizers on the dais. He was presented with a shawl, a statue of Ram Durbar, and a mace, as reported by PTI. Addressing the public, Modi extended his heartfelt wishes for Navratri and Vijayadashami, emphasizing the festival’s symbolic representation of the triumph of good over evil.
In his speech, the Prime Minister acknowledged the significance of the Ram Temple’s construction in Ayodhya, expressing gratitude for witnessing its realization after a prolonged wait. He remarked, “Today, we are fortunate to see the Lord Ram Temple being constructed on Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya after a long wait. It is a sign of victory of our patience.”
Modi’s participation in the event highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of Vijaya Dashmi, reinforcing the festival’s essence as a beacon of hope, patience, and resilience for the entire nation.
