Bengaluru: The next head priest for the Sabarimala Ayyapa Temple has been selected and he is V N Vasudevan, a priest of Jalahalli Ayyappa Temple in Bengaluru.

Vasudevan was selected from among a pool of applicants when they drew upon lots on Thursday, October 18 at the Sabarimala temple premises.

He will serve as the ‘Melsanthi’ for a year at the sanctum sanctorum also called the ‘Sannidhanam’.
