Noida: The Noida police has issued a notice to 23 companies in Sector 58 asking them to inform their Muslim employees to refrain from offering namaz at Noida Authority park.

The notice, which has been issued by the station house officer (SHO), Sector 58 police station, states that no permission has been issued by the administration to anyone for any kind of religious activity including the Friday namaz in the Noida Authority’s park in Sector 58. At least 500 people have been gathering at the said place since last few weeks to offer Friday prayers.

It is said that some had sent an application seeking permission to offer prayers at Noida Authority Park, but the same has not been sent to the office of the city magistrate yet.

The police have also urged the public to not treat this as a notice against one community as it holds good to anyone planning to hold any such religious activities.
