Mumbai:All five accused in the brutal gang rape of a young photojournalist in the city have been arrested, three days after the incident triggered outrage across the country.
While the fourth accused Kasim Bangali was nabbed from Mumbai late last night, the fifth accused in the case Salim Ansari was arrested from Delhi on Sunday. Kasim Bangali is the eldest of the five accused and was the one who sexually assaulted the victim twice, police said.

Ansari, the fifth and last accused was arrested by the Mumbai crime branch from the national capital and is being brought to the metropolis, a senior police official told the media.

“Kasim Bangali had been picked up from the city Saturday night and placed under arrest today,” a crime branch officer probing the case said.
The third accused, identified as Siraj Rehman, about 25-years-old, was nabbed from Mumbra area on Saturday, police sources said. On Saturday, after the arrest of second accused Vijay Jadhav, the Mumbai police said that he has confessed to his crime.
The first accused, Chand Babu Sattar Shaikh alias Mohammed Abdul (19), who was arrested within hours of the incident.
