Mumbai: Despite constant the attacks from AICC president Rahul Gandhi on the Ambanis, Mukesh Ambani has come out in open support of Congress candidate from the Mumbai South constituency, Milind Deora.
A video was tweeted by Deora along with the caption, “From small shopkeepers to large industrialists – for everyone, South Mumbai means business. We need to bring businesses back to Mumbai and make job creation for our youth a top priority.” In the video, Mukesh says, “Milind is the man for South Mumbai… Milind has an in-depth knowledge of social, economic and cultural the eco-system of the South Bombay constituency.”

Mukesh’s open endorsement of the Congress candidate is bound to create some buzz as the Congress has repeatedly targetted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government for favouring top businessmen like the Ambanis and the Adanis. Anil Ambani has been the center of RaGa’s attention, especially due to the Rafale deal. He has alleged that Modi settled for an overpriced deal on the Rafale jets to help Anil Ambani win a huge offset deal from Dassault, the makers of the jets.
Mumbai South will go to polls on April 29.
