Modi wishes Indian contingent for Rio Paralympics

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his best wishes to the athletes competing in the upcoming Paralympics Games beginning from September 7 in Rio De Janeiro.
“The people of India will be enthusiastically cheering for our athletes representing India at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, starting September 7. We all wish our contingent for the Rio 2016 Paralympics the very best. I am sure our athletes will give their best and make us proud,” Modi said.

Seventeen athletes (15 men, two women) will be taking part in the five events. This is the largest ever contingent ever that India will be sending for Paralympics.
