New Delhi :In an interesting development, the Bharatiya Janatha Party is learnt to have offered a ticket to Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian cricket captain to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, sources say the cricketer is still undecided on whether or not to accept the offer.

It has been reliably gathered that it was none other than Gujarat CM and BJPs Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi who has made this offer to Ganguly. Sources say Modi has even promised Ganguly that he would be made Sports minister if the BJP came to power.

While admitting that he has received such an offer from the BJP, Ganguly told a Bengali daily as so-“I have been busy for last few days.I will let you know my decision soon.”

Speculations are rife regarding the BJPs ticket offer to Ganguly ever since the latter met Varun Gandhi, the partys  general secretary and observer of West Bengal, in November.
