Jharkhand: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed the “Vijay Sankalp” rally which witnessed a large number of gathering on the Dhurva Ground in Jharkhand, Ranchi on Sunday December 29.
Addressing the gathering Modi said, “The country need development, and not division. People of the country need opportunities, not opportunistic politics. We have to fight against communalism.”
“The vision of Atal Bihari Vajpayee for Jharkhand must be realized and implemented. Jharkhand people would have not been poor if there was a BJP government in the state”, he said.
He further questioned, “Can you count on those seated in Delhi that have never heard your voice since the past 50 years? Three states were formed at the same time Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand. Why is it that Chhattisgarh is on a development route but other two are lagging way behind?
With regards to the development that can be initiated for the people of Jharkhand he said, “Jharkhand has coal but no electricity stations. Jharkhand could create so much electricity, so as to illuminate not only Jharkhand, but the entire nation still the state is in darkness.”
“The Centre does not care, but I assure that if the electorate of Jharkhand support the BJP and we will bring in a bright future”, he added.
The remarkable point about this rally is that Modi addressed the crowd from the stage with a model of the Parliament in the background which gave an impression of the Parliament house.
Earlier as well Modi has set a stage of innovations, in Chhattisgarh rally on September 7; his stage was shaped like the ramparts of the Red Fort.
