New Delhi: Congress MLA from Jayanagar Assembly Constituency and daughter of Congress rebel MLA Ramalinga Reddy, Soumya Reddy met with Chairperson of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Sonia Gandhi at her residence here on Monday, July 8.

She was accompanied by Congress leader Sushmita Dev.

According to sources, Sonia Gandhi has assured Soumya of fulfilling her and her father Ramalinga Reddy’s demands and has requested her not to take any hasty decisions.

She is said to have had a one-on-one meet with Sonia Gandhi.

Earlier, Soumya along with her father had submitted resignations to the Karnataka State Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar.
