New Delhi: Barely a few days after the nation celebrated 71 years of its independence, a Pakistani flag was found hoisted atop a Hanuman temple in Narsinghpur town of Madhya Pradesh in the wee hours of Thursday.
A message, written in Hindi on the temple walls reportedly threatened to wipe out the Hindus. The police have so far questioned several people for clues that may lead to the miscreants.
Though a CCTV is available in the vicinity of the area and may contain footage that can help to identify the culprits, it is said to be out of order and a mechanic has been summoned to get it repaired.
Meanwhile members of right-wing Hindu organisations took out protest rallies sloganeering against a particular community leading to a tense situation on Thursday.
A case has been registered against unknown persons for hurting religious sentiments.
