Jaipur: Employees’ Unions have called for a one-day strike but can be extended, says, Kishan Singh Rathore, general secretary, Rajasthan Roadways Workers’ Union. At least 4500 buses remain off the road on Monday as employees strike over demands, including implementation of the seventh pay panel’s recommendations.

Prior to this, a meeting was held with the Transport Minister Yunus Khan, on Sunday, which failed as demands for new recruitment and purchase of new buses were not met and the strike began at midnight.

More than 10 lakh commuters in Rajasthan are facing problems due to the strike, says, Mr Rathore.
