Meerut: In a new twist to the love jihad case, the Meerut girl in question has alleged that a BJP leader Vineet Agarwal gave Rs 25,000 on August 7 to her parents days after she filed an initial complaint in the case.

The girl retracted all her allegations about gangrape and forced conversion by a Muslim youth.
However, the girl’s father accepted that some Hindu outfits offered him Rs 25,000 as they were financially weak. He said that matter should not be politicised.
Meanwhile, the Meerut police have filed a case of muder threat and assault against the parents of the girls.
BJP leader Vineet Agarwal defended his actions and said he gave the money to the family as they were very poor.
According to a report, the girl in her complaint alleged that she ran away from her house as she suspected that her parents may kill her.
The father of the girl has also demanded a CBI probe into the matter.
