MDH spices owner passes away at 99

New Delhi: All of 99, Mahashay Dharampal Gulati owner of Mahashian Di Hatti (MDH) passed away on Sunday, October 7 at a hospital in Delhi.

Mahashay Dharampal Gulati had become the popular face of the brand Mahashian Di Hatti. MDH is a popular brand of spices in India.

As per the reports Mahashay Dharampal Gulati was born in 1922 in Sialkot of Pakistan. When he was in fifth class he had dropped his studies to assist his father at the shop, during partition, he moved to Delhi along with his family. The company was set up in 1959. The MDH owner had rented a tonga after arriving in the national capital and began taking his spices from one household to the other on his vehicle to sell the spices. He had been the face of MDH, featuring in almost all the advertisements of the company.
