Jalna: A-40-year-old woman lost her life in a stabbing incident, while her son suffered injuries, allegedly at the hands of her former employer in Maharashtra’s Jalna district, said the local police.
The police arrested accused Ganesh Katakde (45) following the attack that occurred in the Ramnagar area late Friday night.
The victim, Subhidra Vaidya, had recently resigned from her work at Katakde’s restaurant. However, Katakde persistently harassed her to reconsider her decision.
On the fateful night, Katakde, reportedly intoxicated, visited Vaidya’s residence and demanded her return to work. Upon her refusal, he allegedly launched a knife attack on her.
Vaidya’s son Sachin (20) sustained injuries while attempting to shield his mother. Despite efforts, Vaidya succumbed to her wounds.Mauj Puri police have launched an investigation.
