Nora Fatehi’s portrayal in the latest film ‘Madgaon Express’ is capturing attention, showcasing her exceptional talent in comedic roles. As discussions around her character intensify, Nora reminisces about her early days in Mumbai and the traumatic experiences she endured. In a recent interview with YouTube channel Mashable India, Nora shared her journey, revealing that she arrived in India with only Rs 5,000 in her pocket, completely unaware of what $1,000 would be like.

Recalling her struggles, Nora described living with nine others in a cramped three-bedroom apartment, where she shared a room with two other girls. The actress expressed lingering trauma from those days and discussed the exploitation she faced from agencies, receiving minimal pay while substantial deductions were made from her salary. There were times when she could only afford to eat a single egg and bread, necessitating therapy to cope with the hardships.

Amidst these challenges, Nora lamented the absence of protective laws against agency exploitation. Released on March 22nd and directed by Kunal Kemmu, ‘Madgaon Express’ also features Avinash Tiwary, Pratik Gandhi, and Divyenndu in pivotal roles.
