According to a public statement from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), pre-monsoon maintenance and repair work would cause the principal runway 09/27 and the secondary runway 14/32 to temporarily cease operations on May 9.
The principal runway 09/27 and secondary runway 14/32 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) will be temporarily closed on May 9 for pre-monsoon maintenance and repairs, an official announced here on Monday.
On May 9, the runway closures will be in place for six hours, from 11 AM to 5 PM. After that, all regular CSMIA activities will resume.
According to an official spokeswoman, a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has also been issued to improve runway resilience and guarantee smooth operations, especially during the rainy season.
