The police were taken aback when a persistent offender with a history of burglaries in Mumbai was apprehended. The inquiry revealed that the offender’s mother may have forced him to take narcotics prior to the crime.
According to an officer on Sunday, the accused man, identified as 24-year-old Krishna Ravi Maheskar, has more than 22 housebreaking cases pending against him in different Mumbai police stations.
Maheskar commits crimes frequently. Vijeta Maheskar, his fifty-year-old mother, was instrumental in all of his illicit ventures. Before sending him out to break into houses, she used to give him medications. Additionally, she used to get rid of the stolen goods, according to
Rajendra Chavan, sub-inspector of the Kalachowki police station. He said that the wanted Vijeta Maheskar has not yet been apprehended by the police.
The mother and boy live in downtown Mumbai’s Kalachowki neighborhood. Notably, in any criminal case, the accused man used to conduct burglary the day after he was freed on bail.
The officer stated that Maheskar was taken into custody in the new case from the Agripada region and that additional investigation is currently in progress.
