A coach of a local train on the Harbour Line derailed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai on Monday morning, fortunately causing no injuries to passengers, according to a spokesperson of the Central Railway.
Incident Details:
- The incident occurred around 11:35 am when a trolley from one of the coaches of a CSMT-bound local train from Panvel derailed upon arriving at platform number 2.
- Despite the derailment, there were no reports of injuries to passengers in the affected compartment.
Service Disruption:
- The derailment led to disruptions in local train services on the Harbour Line, prompting termination of CSMT-bound trains at Masjid station.
- However, Harbour Line services will continue to operate between Wadala station, and restoration work is underway.
- Trains on the Main Line remain unaffected by the disruption caused by the derailment.
