Mumbai: The Konkani Play SATYAM VADA DHARMAM CHARA was successfully staged at Dr Vishwesvarayya Sabhagrah, Matunga (West ) by Ram Sevak Sangh, Shree Ram Mandir, Wadala in collaboration with Goa Konkani Acadamy on 16th Oct, 2013.


Directed by the director of LIMCA FAME Dr. Chandrashekhar Shenoy the play was able to give a great degree of satisfaction to the audience.
All the artists played their roles very well some of the outstanding piece of action, dialogue delivery and facial expression was demonstrated by DEVANNA BHAT The Central Character of the play (enacted by KAMALAKSHA SARAF) and SHIVARAYA, the Villain of the play (enacted BY ANANDRAYA KINI ) and GANGAMAI, the Bhat’s frustrated wife (ENACTED BY VASUDHA PRABHU ) and SUBBANNA BHAT, the temple priest(ENACTED BY Thonse Venkatesh Shenoy ).
The cast included budding scintillating Singer actor Bhalachandra Prabhu, senior Artist Melgongolli Ravindra Pai, V.V.Pai, Vinod Pai, Shaila Pai and Others. The Music and Bhajans from Keertankar and his accompanists was mindboggling. Light and Sound effects along with stage craft by Dr. Chandrashekhar Shenoy together with Pradeep Rangankar (sets) was praiseworthy.
Make up was aptly provided by Shantaram Mahale while stage assistance was given by Suresh Kini. Ram Sevaks and Sevika’s toiled for the success of the play written by Kasargod Gopinath Kamath.
The almost packed audience enjoyed the 2 Hours stint thoroughly with great degree of satisfaction receiving the appreciation from the present.
