New Delhi: First session of the national capital’s assembly began today where newly elected ministers and MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party took oath along with the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The session is expected to continue till seven days.
Kejriwal is likely to seek a vote of confidence tomorrow.
Moreover, the party has earlier decided MLA MS Dhir as their candidate at speaker’s position, further which will be decided on January 3.
Senior Congress leader MLA Mateen Ahmad will be the pro-tem speaker for AAP, the matter of the post got cleared when both BJP and JD(U) leaders refused to accept the post when approached to them.
