Kannur voters greeted by snake in VVPAT machine!

Kannur: The electorates which were enthusiastic to exercise its right to vote, were taken aback, as the scene in one of the polling booths in ‘Gods own country’ was not ordinary. A VVPAT machine was found to have a snake inside it, here on Tuesday, April 23.

In Mayyil Kandakkai polling booth, where a very huge number of voters had turned up were horrified on witnessing a snake in the VVPAT machine while polling.

Later, the snake was removed from the machine and the voting continued smoothly. It is still not known from where the reptile had entered the machine.

Meanwhile, Kannur constituency is witnessing triangular political battle between C K Padmanabhan of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), P K Sreemathy of Communist Party of India– Marxist CPI (M), who is also a sitting MP and K Sunderan from Congress-United Democratic Front (UDF).
