Bhopal: Refusing to take the test of strength, Kamal Nath resigned as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, today, March 20.

It may be recalled that Kamal Nath government was in doldrums after a few Jyotiraditya Scindia loyalists walked out of the government.

If the Congress had opted for test of strength, it was certain that the party was going to lose. Hence Kamal Nath opted to resign before the floor test.

However, training guns at Scindia, Kamath Nath said that a ‘power-hungry’ and ambitious ‘Maharaj’ rejected the mandate given by the people.

Continuing his attack on Scindia, the 73-year-old leader said that he never wanted the Congress to go to the palace, instead he wanted the palace to come to the Congress.

“Remember that tomorrow comes after today and day after comes after tomorrow,” said the veteran Congress leader.

Meanwhile, Scindia, who lost the race for chief ministership in 2018 and subsequently broke all ties with Congress recently, tweeted and termed the latest political development in his state as ‘victory of people of Madhya Pradesh’.

He maintained that the Congress had derailed from the path of development and public welfare.
