
Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): An investigative journalist, who was probing a possible sand mafia and police nexus, was run over by a dumper on the morning of March 26.
The journalist, Sandeep Sharma was plying on his motorcycle when a dumper came up from behind him, ran him over and fled the scene. The whole chilling incident was caught on CCTV.
The journalist had previously filed a complaint with the police saying that there was a threat to his life.
Meanwhile, in another incident, two more journalists were killed on the night of March 25, when an SUV rammed into the bike they were plying in the Bhojpur district of Bihar.
Naveen and Vijay Singh, were on their way to Nahsi village when they were struck down by the SUV.
The vehicle was intercepted by the villagers but the occupants managed to flee the scene, following which the vehicle was gutted in a fire set by the angry villagers.
The villagers have claimed that a former village head is behind the incident and alleged that the two were murdered.
