New Delhi: A political science professor of Jammu University is under fire for allegedly referring to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh as a “terrorist.”

During one of his lectures in the class, Senior Prof. Tajuddin is quoted to have said, “We made a hero out of Bhagat Singh but he was also regarded as a terrorist.”

The statement enraged the students and they complained against him with the authorities. Following this, Tajuddin also issued an apology.

The university has suspended him and formed a high level committee to probe into the alleged incident. A report is expected from the panel in a week’s time.
