Mumbai: The Jamaate Islami Hind on Thursday January 9 held a protest against homosexuality at Azad Maidan in Mumbai.


Jamaate Islami Hind aimed at generating public awareness against the disastrous fallout of legalizing an act as obscene as homosexuality and to dissuade the Center against bringing in any legislation to de-criminalize it.
Javed Shaikh the national secretary of JIH Mumbai said that he is very disappointment at the fact that incumbent ministers like P Chidambaram and Kapil Sibal are supporting gay right activists, in an apparent contempt of the Supreme Court of India.
He also stressed that Jamaate Islami Hind has always condemned homosexuality and will leave no stone unturned in its efforts to safeguard Indian ethos.
Dr Mandviwala, Shabbir Deshmukh, Mumbai president of MPJ, Rashid Azeem, Secretary, Mumbai Milli Council, Hafeez Farooqui, Secretary, PR, JIH Maharashtra, Afzal Baig, Organizer, JIH Mumbai and Aslam Ghazi, secretary national affairs, JIH Mumbai were present for the protest.
