Hyderabad:After spending 484 days in jail and filing multiple petitions,YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy today walked out of the high security Chenchalguda Central prison and was greeted by a large number of supporters. Amidst loud cheer from supporters and sloganeering, white pigeons were released as he was driven out of jail. He was not allowed to walk out due to security concerns.
Once outside the jail, Jagan stepped out of the vehicle.He greeted his supporters with his signature namaste.Security was tight outside the jail ahead of his release. Police had to resort to mild lathecharge to control the crowd. All the MLAs, MPs of the YSRC had gathered outside the jail. The milling crowd of supporters gave a tough time to the police.
Jagan was granted bail by the special court for CBI cases at Nampally after they filed a memo stating that it had completed probe in the quo pro quo investments case. He was arrested on May 27, 2012, and lodged in the Chanchalguda prison.
