Maharashtra: Indian Army, in its biyearly practice of military power display, launched 240 BM–21 Grad rockets in just 60 seconds at Deolali’s artillery range of Nasik here on Friday, June 29.

Six launchers were parked in the military exercise area consisting of about 40 tubes on a whole.

This Russian made artillery is capable of travelling upto a range of 20-45 km and is of 122 mm caliber.

This type of launcher and its variants are also used by countries like Iran, Vietnam, Qatar and others apart from Russia.

The military exercise has sent shivers down the spines of the neighbouring country, Pakistan, apparently.

A video of the exercise was shot by the military personnel to testify the growing military power of the country.
