Indian Army holds first recruitment rally in J&K

Srinagar: The Indian Army is holding its first recruitment rally in Jammu and Kasmir after the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35. 

 The Army Recruitment Office, Jammu began its 7-day recruitment rally at the J&K Subsidiary Training Centre at Talwara, Reasi on September 3.

The recruitment rally will provide employment opportunities to the youth from Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Ramban and Reasi.

Out of 29,000 applicants who have registered, 2500 candidates from Kishtwar and Ramban districts had their physical fitness tests on the first day.

Doordarshan News has reported that the response of the youth of J&K is an indicator of their desire to opt for peace and progress.
