Nadiyad (Gujarat): Pressing for construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, Yoga Guru Ramdev questioned if it is possible to build Ram Mandir at Mecca, Madina or Vatican, if not at Ram Janmabhumi.

Baba Ramdev was speaking in a yoga program organized in Nadiyad, Gujarat. He said that Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Rama and this is an undisputed truth. He created a new controversy by saying that Lord Ram was not only the ancestor of the Hindus but also the ancestor of Muslims.

“Indian Parliament or the Supreme Court has to find a solution for the Ayodhya case. We respect the Constitution. If necessary Hindus will walk together to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya but this may lead to law and order problem throughout the country,” he said.

In 2010, Allahabad High Court, in its judgement had equally divided the disputed land between Nirmohi Akhada, Ram Lalla and Sunni Wakf Centre. Contesting this judgement the Hindu and Muslim religious groups had approached the Supreme Court.
