Pathankot: After a deadly terror attack at Indian Air Force base at Pathankot on Saturday, the Indian Air Force is likely to constitute a Court of Inquiry to probe alleged lapses at the air base.
According to sources, the IAF will probe into how nearly half a dozen terrorists got inside the highly secured air base and seized it for over 60 hours.
As per reports, specific instructions have been given from the highest levels of government to the top leadership of the Indian Air Force to identify the lapses and to ‘fix responsibility’.
A Kashmiri terror conglomerate called United Jihad Council has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Pakistan-backed United Jihad Council claimed that the attack was carried out by the Kashmiri terrorists associated with ‘Highway Squad’.
The government, however, rejected claims of United Jihad Council taking responsibility for the Pathankot terrorist attack by saying ”this is deflection tactics”.
