Raipur: For news presenter Supreet Kaur, reading out news bullet was a routine, but there was a rude shock on Saturday as she read out a specific news bulletin- a breaking news that came in midway through.

The breaking news was of a road mishap and death of a person on the spot. The victim was none other than Supreet’s husband. But, Supreet remained composed as she pulled through.

It is said that though the field reporter did not name the victim of the mishap, Supreet had an inkling about the tragedy as the details of the spot where the accident took place-Pithora in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district and the make of the car was revealed.

As per eyewitnesses, Supreet walked out of the studio after the bulletin was over and then called up the reporter to confirm on the same. Unfortunately, her fear turned out to be true as it was confirmed that her husband Harsad Kawade was no more.

Supreet, 28 from Bhilai, then broke down and started calling her relatives.

Supreet, an employee of IBS24, a private television channel and Harsad had been married for just about a year and the couple has a daughter.
