New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was admitted to the AIIMS on Sunday night after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness is recuperating.
Doctors have said that the former PM’s condition is stable and he is under the care of a team of the cardiothoracic centre of AIIMS.
Manmohan Singh, 87 was admitted to AIIMS for observation and investigation after he developed a febrile reaction or fever-like symptoms after he was given a new medication.
The veteran Congress leader has fever and he is being investigated to rule out other causes of fever.
In 2009, Manmohan Singh underwent a successful coronary bypass surgery at the AIIMS.
After he was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, several leaders expressed concerns over his health.
Manmohan Singh, a senior leader of the opposition Congress, is currently a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. He was the prime minister of the UPA government between 2004 and 2014.
