Mumbai: The first death anniversary of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray was observed at Shivaji park on Sunday November 17, in the presence of various political leaders and high profile businessmen.

















The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has designed a landscape garden with a range of flowers near the place where Thackeray was cremated.
Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan, veteran BJP leader LK Advani, NCP chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, along with his daughter and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule, senior NCP minister Praful Patel, state PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal, BJP leader Gopinath Munde and RPI chief Ramdas Athawale.
Leader of opposition in state Legislative Council Vinod Tawde, senior BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy were also seen paying their tribute to the late leader along with the industrialists Venugopal Dhoot of Videocon and Rahul Bajaj.
Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray, along with his wife Rashmi and sons Aditya and Tejas were present on the occasion.
Last year a large number of Sena leader from across Maharashtra, had gathered at Shivaji park and a public cremation had taken place likewise, the first death anniversary also saw a gigantic gathering to pay their tribute to their late leader.
The Sena cadres enchanted slogans in the memory of their leader. Several senior Sena leaders were also present.
