Imphal: Manipur reported its first Coronavirus case after a girl was tested positive after her return from the United Kingdom.

This is the first COVID-19 positive case of entire northeast.

The girl is a student in the UK.

While the patient has been put under isolation at a hospital and her family members too have been quarantined.

The family is being tested for coronavirus.

Manipur is among the 32 states and union territories that are under a complete lockdown to contain the rapid spread of coronavirus. 

The government has set up isolation wards at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and JNIMS.
