‘Ex-Singham’ Annamalai is new vice-president of BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit

Chennai: Just four days after officially joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a small ceremony, former Karnataka IPS officer K Annamalai was appointed as the vice president of the part’s Tamil Nadu unit.

The announcement was made by state BJP president L Murugan in a statement on Saturday, August 29.

It can be recalled that Annamalai, who was referred to as Karnataka’s “Singham” during his tenure as an IPS officer, joined the BJP on Agust 25 during a ceremony in Delhi in the presence of the party’s national general secretary Muralidhar Rao.
