French President Emmanuel Macron, honored as the chief guest, commenced his visit with a tour of Jaipur, exploring historical sites including a 17th-century fort and an 18th-century observatory. Accompanied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Macron was greeted by enthusiastic crowds showering rose and marigold petals as they traversed the streets in an open jeep.

Ahead of the Republic Day festivities, President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in commemorating the journey of ‘Amrit Kaal,’ following the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations marking 75 years of independence.
