Lucknow:Uttar Pradesh IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, is reported to have met the state Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and is believed to have apologized on Saturday.

Following her visit, the UP govt. is believed to revoke her suspension but as per the sources, the govt. is yet to take a decision.

Nagpal was suspended by the Uttar Pradesh government in July this year for allegedly demolishing the wall of a mosque in a Greater Noida village.

There were reported chances of her reinstatement after her first meeting with the CM since the July controversy, but sources say that the state government is yet to take a decision.

Durga Nagpal had last month met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to explain her stand.

Critics had slammed her suspension, saying the move followed her strict action against the politically-connected illegal sand mining mafia in western Uttar Pradesh.
