Hyderabad: It was a dream he wished was true. Then, a thought sparked in his mind to realise his dream. In this pursuit, he and his close friend landed in jail!

One night, about a month ago, Mohommed Omer, 45, a resident of Iqbal-ud-Daula Devdi, who runs a clock shop had a dream that underneath his house lies a treasure trove. While he conditioned his mind to forget it, greed overpowered him and he happened to talk about his dream to his techie friend named Y Sravan.
Soon, the duo got over 10 persons to dig up the earth 35-feet over the last 12 days. When the neighbours smelt that something was fishy, they informed the police.
Though the two could not find treasure trove, the move surely landed them in police net.
“After digging 35 feet into the ground for 12 days, they could not get any treasure trove. To clear water from beneath, they also used a water pump,” said Charminar ACP K Ashok Chakravarthy.
All 12 persons including the techie who resides in ECIL were arrested under section 427 (mischief causing damage) of IPC and section 20 of the Indian Treasury Trove Act 1878.
Besides Omer and Sravan, the other accused are — Haji Mansoor, Abed Ali Pothureddypally, Mohd Afsar, Syed Mujeeb, Mohd Kaleel, Mohd Fahar, Syed Bila,C Mahesh, Mohd Allauddin and Mohd Majeed.
