New Delhi: Senior journalist Dr Vijaya has been selected to receive the ‘Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award – 2019’ for her literary work ‘Kudi Esaru’.

According to a Sahitya Akademi notification, Dr Vijaya will be conferred with the award that comes with a purse of Rs 1 lakh cash and a memento.

The award ceremony will be held on February 25, 2020.

‘Kudi Esaru’ is Dr Vijaya’s autobiography.
