New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday appealed to people that his birthday should not be celebrated, and instead they should help the Jammu and Kashmir flood victims.

In an appeal from his personal Twitter account, Modi said friends and well-wishers were planning to celebrate his birthday on Sep 17.

“I request everyone don’t celebrate my birthday. We must get together and help our brothers and sisters of Jammu and Kashmir in every way we can,” Modi said in a tweet in Hindi.
