Chennai, March 25 (IANS): The DMK Tuesday expelled disgraced leader and former central minister M.K. Alagiri, a son of party supremo M.K. Karunanidhi.

Karunanidhi himself made the announcement here. Alagiri has been at loggerheads with the party leadership, including his brother M.K. Stalin, the chosen successor to Karunanidhi.
